317L

STAVINOX MIG 317L is a G 18 15 3 L type solid MIG welding wire, supplied precision layer wound are designed for molybdenum bearing, low carbon content austenitic stainless steel that provides improved corrosion resistance over 304L and 316L stainless steels. The low carbon provides resistance to sensitization during welding and other thermal processes. STAVINOX MIG 317L is non-magnetic in the annealed condition but may become slightly magnetic as a result of welding. STAVINOX MIG 317L has an excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of chemicals, especially in acidic chloride environments such as those encountered in pulp and paper mills where increased levels of chromium, nickel and molybdenum compared to 316L stainless steel improve resistance to chloride pitting and general corrosion with higher molybdenum alloy content. STAVINOX MIG 317L is mainly used for welding in Flue-gas desulfurization systems , Chemical process vessels, Petrochemical, Condensers in power generation etc.
