This electrode is coated with rutile and is non-magnetic, making it suitable for joining and overlaying manganese steel (with up to 14% Mn) and high sulphur and phosphorus containing steels. It can also be used for joining different types of steel, such as construction steels and stainless steels, as well as for creating cushion layers before hardfacing. The electrode is also useful for repairing pieces that have been damaged by shock or friction. It is easy to machine and has a nice appearance after use, with slag removal being straightforward.
