STAVINOX 430-15 - DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION:
MMA electrodes with a basic coating are appropriate for welding steels containing 15-17% chromium, such as AISI 430. These steels harden when exposed to air, so they need to undergo pre-heating and stress relieving processes to make them ductile enough for mechanical working.
STAVINOX OPTIML 430-26 - DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION :
The high-performance electrode with a rutile coating is designed for welding various types of steel, including stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, and tough cold application steel, as well as cast steel. It is suitable for use on similar types of heat-treatable steel and cast steel that have the same ferrite content as those with 15-17% chromium (known as AISI 430). This electrode is also suitable for plating and surfacing on surfaces that have been scaled due to exposure to water, steam, or gas. It can be used for repairing and refurbishing rails that are subject to wear, with a temperature limit of up to 475°C.
