STAVINOX HARD OA 40

Welding wire that is resistant to impact and compression, making it suitable for use in joining and hard surfacing applications. The weld deposit produced by this wire is fully austenitic and has good resistance to impact, spalling, and galling. Additionally, it is highly resistant to cracking.

The wire is made from an alloy base of silicon, manganese, chromium, and nickel, and has a typical hardness of 180-200 BHN as deposited, which can be increased to 450 BHN after work hardening.

This type of welding wire is commonly used in heavy earth moving equipment, such as shovels, dozer blades, and crushers, as well as on forged or alloyed sprockets and coke crushers.
