DESCRIPCIÓN Y APLICACIONES:

Chosen when dissimilar steels (high alloyed with low alloyed steels), unknown steels or difficult to weld steels (tool steels, Mn steels, spring steels...) must be welded. The deposit withstands cracks, acids & scale to 1000°C.

A superior microstructure delivers excellent soft fusion, a neat bead appearance and self releasing slag, for crack proof build-up and cushioning prior to hardfacing.

IMP NOTE: On tooling jobs where less hardness pick-up in the final overlays is wanted, substitute “A 28” for STAVITRODE A 24 as the cushion layer electrode.

This electrode serves for high strength joint welding and surfacing of similar and equal steels or cast steels. It joins tensile unalloyed steels, tempered and tool steels, high manganese steels and spring steels, and makes joints between dissimilar steels and high alloyed stainless steels. Crack proof tough inter-passes on hard surfacing, plus abrasion resistant and warm hardened surfacing, are further uses. The weld metal is austenitic – ferritic, stainless & corrosion resistant, and its enhanced delta–ferrite content makes black – white joints highly resistant against hot-cracking.
