Copper - Phosphorus Brazing Alloys

Copper - Phosphorus Brazing Alloys

DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS :

Copper-Phosphorus Brazing Alloys are specially designed for joining copper and its alloys, offering excellent fluidity and strong, reliable joints without added flux. Silver-enhanced versions improve ductility and electrical conductivity, making them ideal for precision applications. These alloys are commonly used in refrigeration, air conditioning and plumbing, with continuous service temperatures up to 200 °C. They resist corrosion well, except in sulfur-rich environments and should be avoided on ferrous or high-nickel metals due to brittleness.

Key Features and Benefits

Copper-Phosphorus Brazing Alloys offer a reliable and versatile solution for joining copper and its alloys, combining ease of use with strong, durable performance.

  • Self-Fluxing on Copper – These alloys form clean, strong joints on copper without the need for additional flux, simplifying the brazing process and reducing material costs.
  • Low Melting Temperatures – The alloys melt at relatively low temperatures, reducing thermal stress on components and preserving the integrity of sensitive metals.
  • Improved Ductility and Conductivity – Silver-containing grades provide better flexibility and higher electrical conductivity, making them ideal for electrical and precision applications.
  • Wide Application Range – Commonly used in refrigeration, air conditioning and plumbing, these alloys perform reliably under continuous service temperatures up to 200 °C.
  • Corrosion Resistance – They offer satisfactory resistance to corrosion, except in sulfurous environments, ensuring long-lasting performance.
  • Versatile Forms – Available in rods, wires, rings, preforms and granules, they accommodate various fabrication and repair needs.

Copper-Phosphorus Brazing Alloys combine strength, reliability and versatility for high-quality metal joining solutions.
