STAVITRODE A 40
OVERVIEW & APPLICATIONS :
A nickel-free, non-machinable electrode that solves many cast iron problems by sealing in the contaminants that cause porosity, before finish welding with nickel electrodes. An excellent alloy for dirty or burned cast iron.
KEY ADVANTAGES :
- Bonds to greasy, rusty and burnt cast iron where other electrodes fail to fuse.
- Its “fast freeze” behaviour keeps weld defects and porosity to a minimum.
- Colour and coefficient of expansion are close to those of cast iron, giving a professional finish.
- The non-conductive flux coating is particularly helpful when welding in deep recesses or tight spaces.
- Very good in positional welding.
- Welds successfully without preheat.
