STAVITRODE A 41
OVERVIEW & APPLICATIONS :
Intended for welding grey cast iron with lamellar and spheroidal graphite structures, and malleable cast iron. It is also used for joining cast iron (GGL and GGG types) to unalloyed steels. The weld metal machines easily and resists cracking, and the deposit is roughly the same colour as the base metal. This soft electrode wets out well.
Typical uses include joining cast iron to steel, pump casings, water bodies, motor casings, C.I. elbows, and filling blow holes.
KEY ADVANTAGES :
- An all-purpose nickel-iron electrode for repairing casting defects.
- Weld repair of foundry defects such as shrinkage cavities and porosity.
- Building up worn areas on cast iron.
