STAVITRODE A 76
DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS :
Meant for repairing hot working tools such as forging dies, press jacks, Hot draw rings, and hot cutting and up setting tools.
It is also used to surface work harden surfaces and tool edges made from low and alloyed high tensile steels.
An all position, tough Chrome, Nickel, Moly, Vanadium, Cobalt alloy created specifically for surfacing dies and tools in the forging industry. We highly recommend it for repair and buildup of drop forging dies, punches etc.
Use it for joining, surfacing and build up on every drop & press forging die, hammer, punch and insert.
UNIQUE FEATURES :
- The deposit stands out for its toughness and its superior resistance to deformation at high temperature. Controlled metallurgy and controlled chromium give hardness and toughness while ductility is kept.
- Nickel-raises strength, toughness and hardenability, improves grain growth and reduces distortion.
- Moly-adds strength and toughness, boosts resistance to creep and helps keep hot hardness.
- Vanadium-improves resistance to fatigue and high stresses.
- Cobalt-raises deformation and wear resistance in particular at elevated temperatures.
- Hardness is controlled, which suits Joining and build-ups in several layers.
- Impact toughness and creep resistance are excellent.
- Compatibility with die block steels is excellent.
- Can be fully machined using tungsten carbide tools.
