DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS :

Dependable electrode giving crack resistant welds and excellent toughness at low temperatures. Fine grained high tensile steels down to (-) 60°C are covered, along with unalloyed & low alloyed steels, ship steels and offshore work. The coating has low moisture absorption properties (LMA- type).

Boiler plate, pipe steels, cast steels and shipbuilding steels can all be joined or repaired with it, and it works very well on weathering steels such as "Corten".

Expect tough, dependable x-ray quality welds on cast steels and low alloy, high tensile steels in conveyors, chassis & machine frames, heavy equipments, cement kilns, tubes and pressure vessels.

UNIQUE FEATURES :

• Diffusible hydrogen is very low, and the coating is uniquely resistant to picking up moisture.
• Tensile strength, elongation and impact values are balanced better than usual and exceed AWS requirements.
• The arc transfer is very smooth, free of spatter and turbulence.
• The slag peels off on its own, so it never interferes with the weld.
• AC welding characteristics are unusually good, even out of position.
• Re-striking is easy, and the arc drive is strong with excellent alloy wash.
• Deposition can be up to 25% higher than with conventional low hydrogen welding.
