STAVITRODE A 22
DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS :
STAVITRODE A 22 has a rutile coating and an alloyed core, and it can be welded on AC. Joining corrosion-proof, highly heat-proof & non-scaling CrNi-steels that see service temperatures upto 1200°C is its main role. Cr-, CrSi-, and CrAl steels can be joint welded with it, and low alloy base metals can be clad. The weld metal alloy is highly hot-crack-proof & chemical corrosion resistant.
Keep the temperature as low as possible while welding. On ferritic base materials, annealing to 250°C and then post-weld tempering to 700°C is a requirement.
A good choice when stainless of unknown grade must be joined to itself or to carbon steels.
Common uses include furnace-construction, kiln anchor joining, canthol wire joining, valves, heat exchangers, fittings and pipelines.
UNIQUE FEATURES :
- High alloy content lets it serve at high temperature, with scale resistance up to 1200°C.
- Spatter emission is extra low, which minimizes clean-up, and arc transfer is extremely smooth, with no turbulence.
- The weld metal is non-magnetic.
- Short arc length and ultra low heat.
- Structure is fully austenitic.
- Highly resistant to hot-cracking & chemical corrosion.
