DESCRIPTION & APPLICATIONS :

This 18/8/5Mn type high-performance electrode with a basic coating welds Mn 12% austenitic stainless to mild steel. Ferrite in the austenitic stainless-steel weld metal stays below 5 %. The tough deposit offers excellent crack resistance, even on steels with very poor weldability. Use it to join 12 to 14 % manganese steel to itself or to other steels, and for buffer layers before hard facing. Other uses: crusher cones, crusher hammers, crane wheels, armour plates, steel castings and surfacing of Mn steel. It also offers excellent heat-resistant properties up to 900°C
